14 common questions

How do I use TTM.plus like an app on my phone?+

Use the bottom tabs: Home for shortcuts, Explore for every section, Community for chat, Inbox for messages and requests, and Account for your profile and listings. To add an icon to your phone, open ttm.plus in your browser. On iPhone, use Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen when available. TTM.plus still needs an internet connection; installation options depend on your browser. The private preview password still applies.

Does a public profile mean I am looking for a job?+

No. The member directory is for community networking. Recruitment discovery requires you to publish availability and enable Open to recruitment contact under My Account → My profile → Public visibility. Older availability records without that explicit choice are excluded from opportunity searches. Your published availability is public, including to your current employer; it is not a confidential job search. You can hide your organisation, turn availability off, or hide your entire profile.

What should I do about unwanted recruitment messages?+

Tell the sender you are not interested, then use Block in the private conversation to stop new messages in both directions. You can report the specific message or member if contact is misleading, repeated or harassing. Publishing a community profile does not invite recruitment. Employers should contact only members who explicitly publish availability, describe a real opportunity and stop when someone declines.

Is TTM.plus free?+

Yes. Accounts, community areas, listings, applications, enquiries, event responses and business-verification requests are free in the current build. TTM.plus does not process payments.

How does the website choose my country?+

TTM.plus first uses browser language and timezone hints and can optionally use a privacy-friendly country lookup. You can always override the suggestion with the country selector in the header. Your manual choice stays in this browser.

Can people see my password?+

No. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in and password storage. TTM.plus and Firestore do not receive or save your plaintext password. Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page to request a secure reset email.

How do I verify my email address?+

Firebase sends a verification email after signup. If it is missing, open My Account and choose Send verification. After opening its secure link, return to My Account and choose Check status.

Who can see private messages and applications?+

One-to-one messages and files uploaded inside them are restricted by Firebase rules to the two conversation participants. Private applications, enquiries and event responses are limited to the member who sent them, the relevant listing or event owner, and authorised administrators. Saved items and job-alert settings are visible only to their owner.

What photos, videos and GIFs can I upload?+

Use the Photo, Video or GIF control on supported forms, posts and messages. The GIF control includes searchable and trending GIFs when the GIPHY library is connected, plus file upload and hosted-link fallbacks. JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF photos can be up to 8 MB, GIFs up to 8 MB, and MP4, WebM or MOV videos up to 40 MB. Profile photos can be up to 5 MB. You can add up to four media items to one contribution.

What does a verified business badge mean?+

It means an administrator manually reviewed the listing information provided. It is not an endorsement, warranty or guarantee. Members should still check identity, qualifications and commercial details themselves.

How do I edit or hide something I listed?+

Open My Account while signed in. Business, job, marketplace, training, event and community contributions have owner controls. Rejected content stays preserved but is locked until an administrator restores it.

How do I report content or a user?+

Use the Report control on supported content and public member profiles. Add an honest reason and useful detail. Administrators can review the target, resolve the report and moderate content or contribution access.

Do job alerts or messages send email notifications?+

TTM.plus now creates private in-app notifications for messages, applications, enquiries, support and account updates. Job alerts remain in-app only. Email delivery is not active because it needs a separate transactional email provider and member consent.

Can I export or delete my account data?+

My Account provides a JSON export of your current account records and an account-deletion request workflow. Deletion is a reviewed request rather than an instant destructive action.
